Strong River District 

Day Camp 2019- "Beneath the Sea"

The Strong River District would like thank the City of Richland and their department of recreation for supporting our day camp program this year! 

Our Day Camp Staff has a lot of fun and neat adventures and activities plan for your Cub Scout.  Activities to include campfire program, flag retirement, shooting sports (BB & Archery), Demonstrations on fly fishing, rain gutter regatta, pinewood derby demo, other games, and crafts.  

Dinner on Friday & Breakfast on Saturday is provided. 

Parents and Families can camp on Friday Night.   You can set-up your tents on Friday starting at noon.  

There will be a draw down on Friday, June 7th at 7:00PM. (Top prize valued up to $500.00)  Each family will receive one ticket per registration.  You can purchase additional tickets for $10.00 each. 

We currently need Day Camp Volunteers and Den Chiefs for this event. To make sure that we can offer all of the events and programs that we want to offer, we need  additional staff and volunteers.  Cubmasters and Den Leaders for every FIVE youth your Pack sends to day camp, we must have a least one adult volunteer to serve on our day camp staff. Cubmasters and Den Leaders, please reach out to your Den Chiefs, Scouts BSA Troops, and Venture Crews for additional youth staff members.  The requirements for Den Chiefs and other youth staff are listed below. 

For your Cub Scouts

  • Please make sure that you bring your Scout's current Annual Health and Medical form.  We only need parts A & B. You will need to use the Boy Scouts of America's form. No other form will be accepted. 
  • Please make sure that your Scout has a daypack with the following labeled with their name on it: 
    • Water Bottle 
    • Towel 
    • Sunscreen 

For Adult Volunteers

  • Please make sure that you bring your current Annual Health and Medical form.  We only need parts A & B.  Please click here for the Annual Health and Medical form
  • Make sure that you are currently registered with the Boy Scouts of America.  If you are a parent and have not registered with your Pack, please complete the adult registration form.  For your position put camp staff.  There will be no charge for registering as a day camp staff member. 
  • Please complete the Youth Protection Training and Weather Hazard Training found at My.Scouting.org. You will need either email copies to the Day Camp Director or you can bring them to the Day Camp Staff Training. 
  • You will need the following 
    • Water Bottle 
    • Sun Screen 

 

For Den Chiefs and Venturers 

  • You must be at least 14 years old. If you are in a Scouts BSA Troop, you must also be First Class Rank. 
  • You must have the approval of your parent or guardian and your unit leader. 
  • Please make sure that you bring your current Annual Health and Medical form.  We only need parts A & B.  Please click here for the Annual Health and Medical form

Late fee
After 5/31/2019 a fee of $20.00 will apply to all Cub Scout/ Family (4 Four or more) Registrants.
After 5/31/2019 a fee of $10.00 will apply to all Cub Scout/ Parent Registrants.
Cancellation Policy
Fees are non refundable but are transferable to other events with in the same calendar year (January-December) or to other youth with in the unit.
