Up-dated Cub Scout Fast Start Training:  The Boy Scouts of America's national office has up-dated the on-line version of the Cub Scout Leader Fast Start Training.  If you are a new leader that needs to be trained, this is the first step before completing the Leader Basic training as well as Cub Leader Specific Training.

Youth Protection Training:  As part of the Boy Scouts of America, our highest priority is the safety and well-being of our youth members and participant.  To help protect our young people, we are now able to offer youth protection training online.  This training is one part of a comprehensive youth protection training program developed by the Boy Scouts of America and is now being used by many different organizations around the country.  We are proud to be able to offer this training to all parents, teachers, coaches, social workers, and youth development leaders not only around the Andrew Jackson Council, but around the country.  It is designed to help prevent child abuse in all of its forms—whether verbal, emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, or neglect.  This training comes in an easy-to-use format and will require about an hour to complete, and it could be invaluable to you and the youth in your life.  To complete this online training, go to the “Training” section of this website and then on the Youth Protection link, then follow the directions.  If you or any of your leaders have not completed this very important training I urge you to take the time to do so.  If you have any questions about the training or if you need help please contact Jason Clark at the council office (948-6111).

Other On-Line Training:  There are plenty of opportunities for adult leader training.  Please check out the training link.
