Religious Emblems Training for Scouters

This is a rare opportunity to participate in a training session taught by the head director of P.R.A.Y., which stands for Programs of Religious Activities with Youth.  Andrew Jackson will be the first BSA council in the country to have this director lead hands-on training to its volunteer ADULTS.

This is much more than just an opportunity to learn about the "God and Me" or "God and Church" awards for Cubs and Scouts.  You will be provided with tremendous resources that can help you carry out religious emphasis in your unit or district throughout the year.

Some individuals that participate in this training will have the opportunity to apply for an official BSA adult position called Religious Emblems Coordinator, available at both the Unit and District level.  Come on out and have supper with us, enjoy fellowship with other Scouters, and learn all about helping youth earn the religious emblem of their faith.

The training will take place at the BSA Scout Service Center on 855 Riverside Drive, Jackson, MS 39202, and will start Tuesday, 02/21/2017 at 6:30 pm with a light supper and last for about two hours.
