POPCORN 2009

This year's sale is even more exciting than ever with greater opportunities and incentives.  Selling popcorn is a great service project for your unit which helps your Scouts grow and learn, helps your unit, helps your council and you can do  a good turn for the men and women who serve our country overseas. This year we have three different ways of selling popcorn: 

1. Take order sales
2. Show and Sale
3. Online

If you or your unit would like to sale popcorn please email: babutler@bsamail.org or call the Council Service Center at (601) 948-6111 or talk with your District Executive. This year we have easier forms, more commissions and cooler prizes like: I-Pods, GPS units, Savings Bonds, Camping Equipment, gift cards and top salesmen prizes.

Exciting news!  A method is now in place for Scouts to take orders from relatives and friends outside their normal sales area. These consumer sales are separate from the Council Standard Fall Popcorn Sale which will continue to be the main popcorn fundraising vehicle for the Council and the Units. 

The  “Eight Easy Steps” flyer will cover the specific details of how Scouts may participate.  Please email this to your Unit Leaders and also present at your next Round Table meeting so your scouts can take advantage of this selling vehicle.  The new www.popcornordering.com fundraising program sales will be separate from your traditional CAMP MASTERS fundraising program. Consumers will be able to order online at any time and the Scout, and the Council, will receive credit for these sales throughout the designated sales cycle.   The first sale cycle for www.popcornordering.com  starts now and will run until January 31, 2010
